It seems like RAUH Welt overload at the moment as the company’s growth and expansion seems to have come all at once, but for us its heaven a brand we have admired from afar now in our hands for the European market and our first demonstration RWB 993R is being built by Nakai-san, Nick said he has to keep pinching himself as it feels so surreal.
Well Nakai-san landed at the VAD create and design centre on Tuesday 27th in the afternoon to give our car the once over and I guess to see what VAD is all about, I think we get the thumbs up of approval so out for an evening meal washed down with a bit of Stella Artois (of course) and a discussion about the European market and what our plans are for the future of the RWB brand.
Well it seems we on on the same wave length and we share the same visions as the man himself which can only be a good thing, plus we have a VAD+RWB exclusive collaboration for 2012 that is just mind blowing and all will be revealed soon so watch this space for a rather large announcement, and we promise you will not be disappointed.
Wednesday the 28th and back to the grind stone and to watch Nakai-san work his magic which Nick said is a privilege to watch but even more awe-inspiring to work alongside him, we have seen picture after picture all over the internet, and with Luke Huxham's (Maiham Media) media videos of late, has only helped us all enter the world of Nakai-san, but nothing prepares you from seeing it with your own eyes, it’s simply breath talking watching the man perform his art.
Wednesday was also press day and Porsche 911 World who we have given the exclusive storey on RWB-UK and Nakai-san’s visit wasted no time at all snapping away throughout the day and will return again on Friday when the car hits the road.
As you can see the from the pictures the Car is almost complete, Thursday is Tweak day and to check the finer details, adding the Nakai-san touches, adjusting the camber, fitting the wheels, Adding the Idlers stamp to the tyres, adding the mesh to the front bumper, the window screen sticker, just the little details that make up the RWB conversion, then to name the car, a few names suggestions have come up with a few... no’s followed by a lot of laughter, this man simply loves his work.
We hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as we have writing about it... ENJOY & SHARE
